The App requires certain permissions to function correctly. We request access to:
- Camera:
- Purpose: To scan barcodes/QR codes for products and to take photos of inventory items.
- Data Usage: Images are processed locally or uploaded to our secure servers effectively to manage your inventory. We do not use your camera for any other purpose.
- Photo Library / Storage:
- Purpose: To allow you to upload images of products or your business logo from your device’s gallery.
- Data Usage: Selected images are uploaded to store with your product data.
- Bluetooth:
- Purpose: To connect to external hardware such as Thermal Printers for printing receipts.
- Data Usage: We use Bluetooth solely to discover and communicate with paired printer devices. We do not use Bluetooth for location tracking.
- Location Services (Android Only):
- Purpose: On certain versions of Android, access to “Fine Location” is required by the operating system to discover nearby Bluetooth devices (printers).
- Data Usage: We do not collect, store, or share your GPS location. This permission is strictly used to enable Bluetooth scanning functionality as mandated by the Android OS.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To Provide Service: To provide, operate, and maintain the BillSnapr POS system.
- To Improve the App: To analyze usage patterns and fix bugs (e.g., via crash reporting).
- To Process Transactions: To facilitate billing and inventory management features.
- To Communicate: To send you service-related notices or promotional content (if opted in).

- Data Retention: We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law.

- Supabase: For secure database hosting and user authentication.
- RevenueCat: For managing app subscriptions and purchases.
